02 — The mark

Every arc is drawn from a single fixed point.

i.The point is the thought.
An ember dot marks where a compass needle would sit. Everything we make starts there, and it reappears as the dot of the i in our name.
ii.The arc is the thing we make.
Half a circle, deliberately left open: the other half is still to be made.
iii.The weight builds.
The stroke starts light and grows heavier as it travels, the way an idea gains substance as it is made. It is geometric and precise, but it was drawn by a hand.
